Homeroom teachers work closely with the Art, Music, and Drama teachers to create opportunities to connect various curricular areas, as well as to provide students with opportunities to express themselves through the Arts. Children in Early Childhood through Eighth Grade have regular music classes, while children from Kindergarten on have art classes in the studio. Many children are involved in drama activities at the classroom level, and there are also regularly scheduled productions for the students and families. In Lower School, the Winter Holiday musical production and May Day musical celebration are especially popular with students and families alike.
During Exploratory time in Middle School children delve into Renaissance art and culture in seventh grade and work on their illustrations for their children's book project in fifth grade. Middle School club time which is once a month also offers arts projects.
In addition to school based Arts activities, there are also opportunities to participate in a variety of fee-based, teacher-directed after-school enrichment classes that support the Arts, such as poetry, art, and drama classes.
