The Pre-Kindergarten child at Barnesville learns to work and play cooperatively within a peer group. The child begins to develop readiness skills that are essential for success in Kindergarten. Throughout the program we make an effort to ensure that learning is interdisciplinary and that ample opportunities for real life experiences are provided. We recognize that each child in these early years vary significantly in the areas of social, emotional, physical and language development. We have two classrooms with one teacher in each and a shared instructional assistant. Each group begins their day with a circle time and the remainder of the morning is centered on a unified theme.
