Music and Drama are integral parts of The Barnesville School. Song rings through the halls as students participate in music class, singing, dancing, and playing instruments like the keyboard and the guitar.
There are opportunities to participate in a number of performances throughout the year. At the Middle School level, students can perform in a fall play or spring musical. In addition, they can sign up to be in a drama club or the chorus. Lower school students can participate in afterschool drama programs, Grandparents Day performances, and a May Day celebration, in which all of the children come over a hill on the playground singing and perform traditional folk dances.
Students also perform at winter holiday shows, a variety show, and Arts and Academics Night, a culmination of the year’s accomplishments.
