February will be a busy month in EC! We’ll begin our focus on “Manners” for the
letter ‘M’. Our classrooms will be
transformed into Royal Kingdoms with Kings, Queens, Princes and Princesses
ready to learn about royal manners. Anytime you notice your Prince or Princess
demonstrating good manners at home this month, please let us know. We will have an opportunity to recognize good
manners both at home and at school.
The Letter M also stands for ‘Mail”. We will learn about mail by sending and
receiving letters from home.
Valentines Day will make it a sweet and healthy month in
EC. Our 8th grade buddies are
planning a heart healthy Valentines Day activity for us this month that will really
get our hearts pumping! We will also focus
on friendship and love throughout the month and celebrate Valentines Day with
our class party on February 16th!
The children would love to see you! If you would like to come in and read a story
during our closing circle, please let us know and we will find a date that
works for you.
We also invite you to come in and visit us on Thursday February 10th. There is a morning set aside each year for
parents to come to school and see what your child’s school day is like. This year Barnesville’s parent visiting
morning is scheduled for February 9th, a day that both Mrs. Chaffman
and I will be attending a conference.
Therefore, we are opening up our classrooms on the morning of the 10th
for any EC parents who would like to visit.
Please let us know if you are
planning to come in.
We are having quite a winter, and it will continue to be
cold for some time.Please make sure
your child comes to school each day with the proper coats, hats and
mittens.We will go out unless it is
below freezing, extremely windy or icy.
