Gala & Auction: April 28, 2012               Family Fun Night: February 24, 2012 www.barnesvilleschool.org joy. support. excellence. Parent Encouragement Program at Barnesville     Just a reminder that we are offering-for the first time-an extended parenting class at The Barnesville School! For parents of children ages 5 -12, interested in raising responsible, caring kids...learn practical skills and gain insights into how to use positive, encouraging methods with your children to gain cooperation, foster respect and responsibility, set and uphold limits and bring out the best in each child. The class is being offered by the Parent Encouragement Program (PEP). PEP, a local non-profit, has been offering parenting classes in the Washington area for over 30 years. The class is being taught by a long-time Parent Educator with PEP, Pascale Brady, who recently spoke at Barnesville on the subject of raising responsible children. Please register directly with PEP at 301.929.8824. The class at Barnesville will be a weekday morning class, for 8 weeks, beginning in mid-April. In addition to the morning class at Barnesville, The Butler School in Darnestown, MD, has opened up their 8-week evening class to our community. Please see the attached flyer for all the details!        Conferences     Conferences will be held on the afternoon of April 23. Teachers will send out their requests for conferences. Please call and schedule your conferences as soon as you hear from your child's teacher. If you haven't heard from your child's teacher and would like a conference, you may call to schedule a conference on April 19. Conferences will be scheduled by Karol Nave until close of school on April 21. School will be dismissed at noon on April 23. If Kids Club is needed, please contact Loree Miller for availability.          Invitations to the Denim & Diamonds Gala & Auction were mailed before Spring Break and RSVPs are due by April 12. As always, this year’s Gala will feature both a Silent and Live Auction. Some of our exciting Live Auction items include the class projects, one-of-a-kind experiences, parties and fabulous get-a-ways. We hope you can join us for what is sure to be a wonderful evening! FACTS Tuition Payments     We are excited to offer a new online enrollment for the 2010/2011 school year with FACTS Management Co.  All families, new and returning, will sign up for an actively managed payment plan right from the school’s website. You will have the opportunity to pay in full or schedule budgeted payments. Please note the following advantages in using the FACTS system for tuition payment handling: Convenient online payment plan sign-up Maintain your demographic and financial account information online Receive e-mail payment reminders before your payment is due Increased affordability Online Tuition payments (if applicable) Multiple payment options Web-based interface for account viewing Please look for more details to follow in the coming weeks.
