Barnesville Launches New Strategic Vision

The Barnesville School launched our new Strategic Vision at a special reception on May 11, 2012, at BlackRock Center for the Arts. The event was attended by parents, present and former board members, friends of Barnesville, and faculty and staff. The evening took place in BlackRock's lobby under the Barnesville Mobile. The Mobile, Flying Colors, was designed and created by Barnesville Middle School students in partnership with BlackRock and artist Kevin Reese in honor of BlackRock's 10th anniversary.

The evening's speakers included Head of School John Huber; Mary Waldhorn, Art Teacher, who spoke about the creation of the mobile; Guest Speaker Meredith Langstaff '99; and Barnesville Board Chair, Chris Marett, who introduced the Strategic Vision.

The mobile resided at BlackRock until May 24, 2012, when it was returned to The Barnesville School for permanent display in the library.
