This year's Peace Week theme "Peacemakers and Problem-Solvers" challenged students to not just celebrate Dr. King's words and work, but to contemplate the skills he and other peacemakers and problem-solvers used that each of us can emulate.

Each eighth grader selected a favorite author to research so they could present their personal and professional stories, posing as "wax figures" that "come to life" to deliver short biographical reports for students from other grades as well as teachers and parents.

Each year before Thanksgiving, Barnesville celebrates Grandparents and Grandfriends Day, inviting special guests to spend a morning with students on campus to experience the joy, support, and excellence we know to be The Barnesville Way.

Every fall, Barnesville seventh graders spend three days and two nights at Echo Hill Outdoor School on the Chesapeake Bay for an environmental science field study program and team building.
