The BPC offers parents, students, and the community a variety of events and activities throughout the school year. These community-building events are coordinated by parent volunteers and are highly anticipated each year.
This is a time to show your school spirit with a Pep Rally before the boys and girls soccer games. Festivities occur after the games including bonfires, picnic, face painting, moon bounce and more! The event is for parents, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends. It is also a great way to get into the swing of the new school year.
Grandparents’ & Grandfriends' Day
See the joy and appreciation on all the children's faces. Grandparents’ & Grandfriends' Day is a cherished tradition at Barnesville, held the Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving inviting grandparents and grandfriends to see where their loved ones classrooms, meet their teachers and enjoy a performance by all grades.
Children experience the joy of giving when they shop for holiday gifts. Parent volunteers assist the students with their shopping and gift-wrapping.
Family Fun Night
Family Fun Night is a free family event. The evening includes games, activities, and entertainment. The theme changes each year and has included Mardi Gras, the Beatles, and Down on the Farm.
Each month parent volunteers provide a delicious lunch for the faculty and staff. The BPC sets a theme and contributors bring homemade dishes and desserts as a way of saying "Thank You" to our dedicated educators.
Green Week & Bearly-Used Book Swap
During Green week students learn different ways to help the environment including recycling and composting. Ending the week is "Go for the Green", a day that includes many fun Earth-friendly activities and ways that you can help conserve our natural resources. The Bearly-Used Book Swap is a children’s used-book fair open to Barnesville students, families, and faculty as well as the general public. Held in the spring, it emphasizes recycling.
