Other Information

I have been providing Speech and Language Therapy Services as an independent contractor for more than 18 years, empowering individuals to reach their communicative potentials. I have owned and operated my pediatric private practice for eleven years. I received my B.S. and M.S. both from the University of Rhode Island. I hold private contracts with private schools in the Montgomery County and Howard County areas. I especially enjoy working at Barnesville School, collaborating with the tremendously talented staff and with the student body.

I began my career working with individuals with traumatic brain injuries in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I received extensive training while working with Frederick Memorial Hospital’s rehabilitation team as well as with Head Injury Rehabilitation and Referral Services in Rockville. This training provided me with a strong knowledge base for neurogenic communication disorders, which was crucial in helping me assist survivors in retraining their cognitive functioning.

In 1996, I began working within the Montgomery County public school system at Seneca Valley High School. Moving from this environment, I then worked in a well established pediatric practice in Bethesda for four years, before establishing my own private practice in 2003. When working with this dynamic pediatric team, I gained extensive training and clinical expertise in a variety of childhood speech and language disorders. Moving closer to home and further upcounty, I have been servicing children in individual and in small pragmatic group settings for more than 14 years.
