Other Information

This is my 27th year teaching and my 14th year at Barnesville. From 1995 to 2004, I taught here and was Middle School Division Director. Following this, I also taught at Tuscarora High School in Frederick for two years and was then Principal at The Banner School for three years. I currently teach 7th & 8th Grade Social Studies, 8th Grade Beliefs & Ethics, and a section of 6th/7th Grade Mathematics. I have a B.A. in History from The College of Wooster (Ohio) and an Ed.M. from Harvard University. I coach the Girls' Soccer team and support the performing arts by assisting with the sound system and lighting. I have two kids, my older (Maddie) is 23 and she is a 2nd grade teacher. She attended Barnesville through 6th grade. My son Max is 19 and enjoys his work at Calleva and teaching snowboarding in New Mexico. He attended Barnesville through 2nd grade. My wife, Becky, and I enjoy live music and we love to travel! I am a dog lover, especially Australian Shepherds. I enjoy playing the guitar (although I am not very good). I am an avid tennis player and golfer, Chapstick user, and fan of Will Ferrell and Adam Sandler.
