Other Information

Teaching children is the joy of my life. I have a B.S. from Georgia State University with double certification in Elementary and Special Education. I earned my M.Ed at the University of Maryland where I focused on Early Childhood and Special Education. Over the years, I have kept up with my education and have taken two levels of The Responsive Classroom, The Nurtured Heart, and other professional development courses taught by renowned educators. I have been teaching at Barnesville since 1995. Most of my years here have been spent teaching Kindergarten with a seven year period in 1st grade. I have been teaching since January of 1977 at various schools in Georgia, Maryland and overseas in England. I have experience teaching in just about every grade from 9th grade special education down to Early Childhood. In my free time, I enjoy being with my children, playing with my dog Delilah, painting with watercolors, searching the beach for treasures from the sea, reading, and relaxing with friends.
