What it means to be a school of Arts & Sciences.

"The fact is that given the challenges we face, education doesn't need to be reformed—it needs to be transformed. The key to this transformation is not to standardize education, but to personalize it, to build achievement on discovering the individual talents of each child, to put students in an environment where they want to learn and where they can naturally discover their true passions." – Ken Robinson, The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything

Arts & Sciences Rotation

As we work to support student engagement in the arts and sciences our middle school students will participate in an Arts & Sciences Rotation each year. This class takes place once a week. Each grade level is required to participate in the Performance Arts Group (Chorus, Band, Improv) during one of the four rotations. Those students who are not participating in the Performance Arts Group will register for one of the S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) classes offered during each rotation. Some of the S.T.E.A.M. classes offered throughout year are: Makerspace Challenges, Stop Motion Animation, Coding Class, Origami, Microscopy, Dance, and Greenhouse.
