Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences hosted their first Color Dash on Saturday, November 8, 2014. Held on Barnesville’s campus in the beautiful Agricultural Reserve of Montgomery County, participants enjoyed spending time outdoors with family and friends as they ran or walked through “clouds” of colored powder. After the race, everyone joined for a final color throw extravaganza.
The Color Dash is a community-building event with a focus on family time and living and modeling a healthy lifestyle. The run is less about time and more about fun, so walkers, beginning and seasoned runners are welcome. Any funds raised by the Color Dash will support Barnesville’s educational program.
The course is a 1.5 mile loop on the 50-acre campus of the Barnesville School and will traverse through fields, up and down minor hills, and across some gravel.
This year’s sponsors included Karta Waksberg Homes, Dunkin Donuts of Hyattstown, the Maryland SoccerPlex, and MyBootCamp.
We look forward next year’s dash!
