Seventh graders created Peeps dioramas based on the theme "Movies and Television." Each student wrote a proposal and a synopsis, delivered an oral presentation to their classmates, and participated in video interviews.

As part of National Poetry Month, Barnesville sixth graders each conducted biographical research about a famous poet and then analyzed one of their poems, presenting highlights to an audience of fellow students and their parents.

A field trip to Busboys and Poets in Washington, D.C. followed by a visit to the African American Civil War Museum gave Barnesville eighth graders additional context for history lessons and related issues of race that they have explored in social studies and language arts classes.
