Stress is difficult to define but most of the time it involves a situation that we can not control. Stressors can be different for all of us and affect us in different ways. Regular stress can lead to destructive behavior and poor health. For this reason it is very important that we have tools to help us prevent and deal with stress. This is especially important for children who can often feel overwhelmed by their inability to meet all the demands placed on them. By teaching our kids to cultivate practices that help manage their stress we are are giving them the tools they need to be healthier and happier lives.
