Barnesville’s Buddy Program is a social-emotional learning opportunity for our students to connect and make friends across grade levels. Students in younger grades are paired with older students, allowing students to develop meaningful relationships throughout the year with other age groups.
Older students have genuine opportunities to be role models and leaders while younger children know they have special friends looking out for them. Young students look forward to seeing their big-kid friends, and older students take pride in the responsibility that comes with becoming a big-kid buddy.
This year 1st & 4th graders had their first Buddy Time virtually. These buddies made plans for the future that include reading together, making a craft, or other activities!
