A Sweet Success: Student Council Delivers on Campaign Promise
At Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences, leadership is about more than just titles—it's about following through on a vision to support the community. Last week, our students enjoyed a very special treat thanks to the dedication and hard work of the Student Council.
During her campaign for Student Council Treasurer, Adeleine made a promise to coordinate a series of fundraisers with the goal of providing a special treat for the entire school. This year, she did exactly that. Working closely with faculty representative Mrs. Sheppard and a dedicated team of student council volunteers, Adeleine led multiple fundraising events to turn her candidacy promise into a reality.
A Collaborative Effort
The project was a masterclass in coordination and care. After successfully raising the necessary funds, the Student Council organized a massive delivery of Krispy Kreme donuts for all staff and students. Demonstrating the inclusivity that defines #TheBarnesvilleWay, the team also ensured that alternative treats were available for those with allergies or specific dietary preferences.
The distribution was a true community effort:
Morning Meeting Surprise: Adeleine officially announced the successful project during morning meeting to the cheers of her peers.
Special Deliveries: Student Council members hand-delivered donuts to classrooms across the campus.
Snacks to Go: The team even hand-packed donuts for the 6th-grade class to ensure they had a sweet start to their scheduled field trip.
Leadership in Action
"It is incredible to see Adeleine follow through on her campaign promise and turn such a thoughtful idea into a reality," noted the Communications team. The level of planning, collaboration, and care required to manage these funds and execute the logistics highlights the impressive leadership skills being fostered within our student body.
A huge shout-out to Adeleine, the Student Council members, and Mrs. Sheppard for their hard work and dedication. Thank you for making our school day a little bit sweeter and for showing us all what it means to lead with heart!
