Growing Our Future: Barnesville Plants 425 Trees for the "5 Million Trees" Initiative
Read MoreThe landscape at Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences is getting a major green upgrade! This week, our campus became a living part of Maryland’s environmental history as a crew from the Department of Natural Resources arrived to plant 425 new trees and shrubs on our dedicated one-acre plot.This project is a proud contribution to the Maryland 5 Million Trees Initiative, an ambitious state-wide goal to plant a tree for every Marylander by 2031. By participating, Barnesville is helping the state work toward removing an estimated 30,000 metric tons of CO2 annually. -
