At Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences, leadership is about more than just titles—it's about following through on a vision to support the community. Last week, our students enjoyed a very special treat thanks to the dedication and hard work of the Student Council.
Lower School students recently got a firsthand look at Antarctica through an engaging presentation by 8th grader Ryan C. Using his own photography, Ryan brought his trip trip to life–highlighting beautiful landscapes, diverse wildlife, and massive penguin colonies, including over 100,000 King Penguins!
The landscape at Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences is getting a major green upgrade! This week, our campus became a living part of Maryland’s environmental history as a crew from the Department of Natural Resources arrived to plant 425 new trees and shrubs on our dedicated one-acre plot.
This project is a proud contribution to the Maryland 5 Million Trees Initiative, an ambitious state-wide goal to plant a tree for every Marylander by 2031. By participating, Barnesville is helping the state work toward removing an estimated 30,000 metric tons of CO2 annually.
