On Friday, April 22, 2022, Barnesville students participated in an all-day earth day celebration full of service-learning opportunities, outdoor activities, and celebrating 11 years as a Certified Green School.
Awareness, acceptance, inclusion. These values are at the core of the 7th-Grade Disability Project. Each year, in April, students complete an Independent Research Project about an individual with a disability.
Each year, Mrs. Gekas’ third-grade students participate in a Valentine’s Day celebration that honors traditions and neighbors in our surrounding community. Visits to friends in the community followed by a traditional tea exemplify values like respect and kindness that we call “The Barnesville Way.
Each January, Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences celebrates Peace Week with lessons and activities that honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. while also exploring the broader concept of peace that inspired and guided him. This year’s theme was “BE the Difference.”
