As part of the annual food drive, Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences works with a community organization to collect donations leading up to our Fall Festival and Walk to End Hunger. This year, Barnesville Student Council delivered 479 pounds of food, toiletries, and cleaning supplies to Western Upper Montgomery County (WUMCO) in Poolesville. Students were surprised and humbled to see the empty pantry shelves but delighted to leave the space packed and full. Thank you to all of the Barnesville School families for giving back and participating in this year's food drive.
Our teaching encourages students to explore how subjects relate to one another, helping them to make connections that spark inquiry and deepen understanding.
