Event Highlights
The week is packed with assemblies and activities designed to engage every grade level:
Green Week Kick-off Assembly: We’ll start the week strong with an all-school gathering to set our goals.
Compost Crew Assembly: A specialized session for EC-4th and Middle School students to learn the "dirt" on effective composting.
Choose Your Own Adventure Workshops: Students across the whole school will participate in elective-style workshops focused on sustainability.
Earth Day Celebration: On Wednesday, we’ll hold an All-School Picnic and enjoy outdoor play to reconnect with our campus.
The Marketplace: Join us for a Clothing Swap, Tea Stand, and Bake Sale—perfect examples of the circular economy in action!
Recycled Fashion Show: See our students walk the runway in creative designs made entirely from repurposed materials.
The Poetry Slam & Plenty Mag Contest: We’re merging arts and environment with a Poetry Slam Assembly and the "Plenty Mag" poetry contest.
Student Leadership & Future Planning
This year, we are putting the power in the students' hands. Teachers will be facilitating a Student-led Field Trip Inquiry, where classes will discuss and propose their own environmental field trips. It’s all about taking initiative for the future we want to build.
We can’t wait to see the creativity and passion our students bring to this week. Let’s make this the greenest year yet!
Our teaching encourages students to explore how subjects relate to one another, helping them to make connections that spark inquiry and deepen understanding.
Skilled, Creative Teachers
Barnesville teachers have the freedom to tailor instruction based on individual learning styles to engage and challenge each child.
Collaborative Culture
We cultivate an environment of respect where students encourage and inspire each other and gain confidence in the value of their own unique voice.
Ideal Setting
Our beautiful 30-acre campus in Montgomery County’s Agricultural Reserve is our extended classroom, enabling us to integrate nature into everyday learning.
World Citizens
Barnesville’s strong interdisciplinary foundation prepares students for success in an increasingly diverse and interconnected world.
