A Record-Breaking Success: Empty Bowls 2026

The community truly outdid itself this year at the Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences! Our latest Empty Bowls event wasn't just a gathering—it was a historic milestone in our mission to combat local food insecurity.
Thanks to an incredible turnout and the tireless work of our students and local potters, we are thrilled to share some staggering results:
  • 400+ Tickets Sold: A packed house of supporters joined us to share a meal and a mission.
  • 400+ Handmade Bowls: Each guest took home a unique piece of art, lovingly crafted by talented local students and professional potters.
  • 50+ Gallons of Soup: A massive thank you to our donors for keeping the ladles moving and the bowls full!
  • $10,000+ Raised: We have officially doubled our impact from previous years, and the total is still climbing as our pottery sale continues.

The Impact: A Year of Full Plates

The generosity displayed at this event has a direct, life-changing result. The funds raised are enough to fully finance an entire year of both Backpack Bites and the Summer Lunch Program. Because of your support, children in our community will have access to nutritious meals every single day of the year, including those long summer months when school resources are typically unavailable.

The Sale Continues!

If you missed the event or want to add another masterpiece to your collection, you’re in luck. The pottery sale is ongoing until every last bowl has found a home. Every additional purchase helps us grow the surplus for these vital programs.

"You've got this." — A sentiment found inside one of our student-made bowls, and a perfect reminder of what this community can achieve when we work together.
Thank you to every volunteer, artist, and guest who made this our most successful year to date. We are already looking forward to seeing how we can top this in 2027!
