Welcome to COZY CUBS STORYTIME & ART-PLAY!

Join us for a cozy, creative, and joyful class designed especially for little ones aged 18 months to 4

years (with a caregiver). In this class, children get to be a part of our Early Childhood program once a week where they will explore stories, art, and sensory adventures together.

    What to Expect

    • Storytime & Connection – We’ll begin with a short story to spark curiosity, imagination, and conversation — a gentle way to settle in and build a sense of community among little learners and their grown-ups.
    • Open-Ended, Process-Based Art & Sensory Play – Following Storytime, children will be invited to explore a variety of materials: paint, clay, water/bin play, collage, textured materials, and more. The focus is on exploration, experimentation, and joy, not on creating a “perfect” art piece.
    • Hands-on, Multi-Sensory Experiences – Messy, sensory-rich play is at the heart of this class. Through texture, color, movement, and creative expression, children build fine and gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and sensory awareness.
    • Outdoor Time - At the end of each class students and caregivers are welcome to join us outside on our beautiful campus to explore our playground and little woods.
    • Social, Emotional & Language Growth – As children play side by side, share materials, talk about what they are doing, and express themselves through art, they begin developing early social skills, communication, emotional regulation, and self-confidence.

Children at this age are natural explorers — they learn best through their senses, through touching, feeling, experimenting. Sensory art play encourages creativity, imagination, cognitive development, and even lays early groundwork for problem solving, focus, and self-expression.

    Please Note:

    • This is not a drop-off class — caregivers must stay with their child.
    • Children should be dressed in clothes that can get messy.
    • Siblings under the age of 1 year are welcome to join.
    • The Barnesville School is not licensed to change diapers & does not have changing tables. There are bathrooms available for use at the school.
    • MISSED CLASS POLICY: There are no make-up dates or refunds for missed classes. If a class is cancelled due to weather, an extra class will be added to the schedule.
