Barnesville School's Homecoming was held on the 24th of September. There were many exciting games to watch including cross country, boy's soccer, and girl's volleyball.
However, it was not all about sports. Before the end of the school day, the full student body gathered outside for a pep rally to cheer on their Barnesville athletes! There were pom-poms, signs, cheers, and more. The Barnesville Bear made a spirited appearance, and the BPC sponsored a Kona Ice truck for a sweet treat to end the day and kick off the homecoming games!
The trifecta of games began after-school: Cross Country - Barnesville vs. Friends Meeting School Girls Volleyball - Barnesville vs. Banner School Boys Soccer - Barnesville vs. Christ Episcopal School
Our cross country team took first in their meet against Friends Meeting School. Zachary finished with a time of 12:51, Alex finished with a time of 13:21, and Olivia finished with a time of 13:48 in the 1.5-mile run. Well done cross-country athletes!
Next up, our girl's volleyball team brought their best against the athletes from Banner School. In the first game, we lost with a score of 25-16. We won the second game 25-17 and lost the tie-breaker game 15-9. Regardless of the final score, we are so proud of our volleyball players!
Out on the field, Barnesville's soccer team played Christ Episcopal School. It was an incredible game with both teams giving it their all! In the end, our team lost the soccer game 2-0, but they are still winners in our eyes!
The gorgeous weather, school spirit, and community engagement made Barnesville's Homecoming a memorable day for all who attended! Congratulations Barnesville School athletes!
