Illness is an excused absence – an absence of more than three (3) days requires a doctor’s note upon return to school. Students who come to school when they are not well, not only put the health of others at risk, but they are unable to use their school day in a productive, positive manner. Children who are ill should not come to school until they have been fever-free (without fever reducing medication) and not vomiting for 24 hours. Parent/guardian(s) should notify the Administrative Assistant before 9:00 a.m. as well as the main classroom/homeroom teacher on the first day of the absence and report the reason for the absence.
Our teaching encourages students to explore how subjects relate to one another, helping them to make connections that spark inquiry and deepen understanding.
