Congratulations to our 2022-2023 student recipient of the Cohen Scholarship!
Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences offers rising 6th grade students the opportunity to apply for $1000 in scholarship funding per year.
The purpose of the merit-based Cohen Scholarship program is to honor Frieda Cohen (or “Grandma Frieda” as she was known to Barnesville School students) and her parents, Rose and David Cohen. This scholarship demonstrates her many years of generosity to Barnesville and her commitment to helping students and families realize the benefits of a Barnesville experience.
In order to be eligible, students must demonstrate academic achievement and good performance in the classroom, perform well on the Cohen Scholarship essay, and exemplify our school’s mission of joy, support, and excellence.
This year’s recipient of the Cohen Scholarship is Ryan Carr.
Our teaching encourages students to explore how subjects relate to one another, helping them to make connections that spark inquiry and deepen understanding.
