Diwali - Celebrating the Festival of Lights with Buddies
Barnesville’s Buddy Program is a social-emotional learning opportunity for our students to connect and make friends across grade levels. Students in younger grades are paired with older students, allowing students to develop meaningful relationships throughout the year with other age groups.
Today, our 1st and 4th graders were treated to a special book reading about Diwali by Mrs. Swarna Kavi, proud Barnesville parent of a 4th grader herself.
Diwali, one of the most eagerly anticipated festivals in India and around the world, symbolized the victory of good over evil and the celebration of light over darkness. This joyful occasion brings together family, friends, and loved ones to share heartfelt wishes.
By studying different world religions, our students are exposed to a variety of views on morality as they develop their moral compass.
May the divine light of Diwali fill your life with love, prosperity, and happiness, Happy Diwali!
Our teaching encourages students to explore how subjects relate to one another, helping them to make connections that spark inquiry and deepen understanding.
