Lower School Field Day: A JOYful Celebration of Movement and Community

 

The day began with a high-energy warm-up session in the gym, setting the tone for the exciting activities ahead. Students then rotated through a series of engaging events, including the 100-Yard Dash, Relay Runs, Longest Throw, Hula-Hoop Contest, Cartwheels That Count, and the ever-popular Bounce House Fitness & Fun Station. Each event was designed to promote physical activity and joy, while encouraging students to support and cheer for one another.

 

A special highlight of the day was the involvement of our Middle School students, who stepped into leadership roles as coaches, officials, and station leaders. Their presence added enthusiasm and structure to the day, and their encouragement helped boost the confidence and energy of our youngest athletes. Middle Schoolers also showcased athletic routines, giving Lower School students a chance to see what’s ahead—and even participate in the fun!

 

This year’s Field Day carried a deeper meaning as it supported the Comfort Cases Donation Drive, a school-wide effort to support children in foster care. Students and staff came together not only to move and play but to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others—living out our values of compassion and community.

 

Thank you Coach McCoy, Middle School helpers, faculty, and staff for organizing such a successful and spirited day. Lower School Field Day was truly a JOYful celebration, reminding us all of the power of movement, connection, and kindness.
