Did you know... when Barnesville became a school of Arts & Sciences?
Did you know... it was in 2012, that the Board of Trustees put forth a new vision for Barnesville as a school of arts and sciences. Goals in the Strategic Vision included enhancing the program across the curriculum, with added emphasis on math, science, and outdoor education, in balance with arts and humanities offerings. The School established ongoing partnerships with local arts and sciences organizations to further enrich the program - and these along with others remain strong and are in place today. Officially, it was in 2013, that the School became known as Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences, adopting a new quilted shield logo to represent the rural landscape and connections across a broad spectrum of subject areas.
Our teaching encourages students to explore how subjects relate to one another, helping them to make connections that spark inquiry and deepen understanding.
